Music Genre
The genre of music i have decided to base my magazine upon is Indie Rock. I have chosen this genre of music as it is the music i personally listen to, and is one of the most popular music genres currently.
Indie Rock stands for Independent Rock, and describes the small and relatively low-budget labels on which it is released and the do-it-yourself attitude of the bands and artists involved

To the left are some of the most notable Indie Rock artists, including Blur, Radiohead and Coldplay. These artists represent the genre the most, and are highly regarded artists.
Above are three very popular songs from the indie rock genre. i have chosen these three songs as they are all very different, but are under the same genre. This shows the diversity of the music genre. Other genres, such as pop or rap, all have the same sort of tone to the music. Whereas, with indie rock, artists are free to express themselves however they wish, whether it be like Kings of Leon, and have a more metal feel to the music, or being like coldplay, and having much more mellow music
